Some cool things in Cork!
Thank you for an awesome 2021!
Some interesting news about the new connector from Route 95 to Gorham
I remember when they built the by-pass, and the disruption it caused (because I live near it), today I love it! Forward movement is a plus in my opinion and I look forward to seeing this take place. I wonder if/when the northern by-pass around downtown Gorham will ever take place…..

Hunting Season Has Begun!
It’s November 1st and hunting season has begun. You will see trucks parked along the roads, no trespassing signs on trees and lots and lots of bright safety orange! No matter what your personal opinion is on the matter, it’s important to be respectful of hunters, land owners ,and the safety laws that are in place.
Wearing blaze orange is VITAL when out in the woods are large fields. Avoid white and brown–it’ll make you look like a deer! The orange isn’t just for us people by the way, your pets should be dressed in orange as well. The vast majority of hunters take safety extremely seriously. They are well aware of where and when they can hunt and are respectful of land owners.
Below is a map of our home town Gorham showing the firearm areas that the town has set. Every town will have this and it can be found on the town website. Non-hunters-get out and enjoy the beautiful foliage just wear plenty of orange and be smart where you are. Hunters– Good Luck and here’s to a great season!

Markets effected by Covid Forbearance
Recently we received an alert from the Real Estate Commission stating the following:
The Pandemic and subsequent Stimulus programs that JUST ENDED(Forebearances, Moratoriums, Check Payouts) have created a shift in several MAJOR National Real Estate Markets. For the first time in October, we watched many historically “Hot Markets” start to experience a surge in Foreclosures and Defaults notices.
We are worried and want to help if you find yourself in this situation. The government programs were put into place to aide homeowners that experienced a negative effect on their income and job status due to the pandemic. The unfortunate reality is that now that the programs have ended it has left many homeowners in a very difficult place of not being able to “catch up” and the banks are scrambling to try and figure out how to get their clients into a new program that will work for them.
What does this mean to you?
IF you are someone that opted into the program you may find yourself in a hard place of not knowing what to do. Please understand that if you are behind on your mortgage more than 30 days that is reported to the credit bureaus and will take a very big toll on your credit and future ability to purchase. What is very important is that you know exactly what is going on with your mortgage. We have very close ties to mortgage professionals that we rely on and can bend their ears for advice.
IF you are someone that is thinking of listing your home for sale, you need to know that there will be many homes coming on to the market that will have a much more “dire” need to sell before they become delinquent. This means to list as soon as possible to avoid the competition.
IF you are someone thinking of purchasing a home and have been feeling very overwhelmed and discouraged because of the bidding wars, hang in there….there is a change in the wind and it will likely become a more easily navigated market.
With all of this said, our main message is to help all of you. No matter which “IF” you find yourself relating to, rest assured that we are well educated and pride ourselves in staying ahead of the market to be able to positively help our clients in their best decision making processes.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at any time. If you simply want to “pick our brains”…we are here and here to help. We have been through just about every market imaginable and are willing to lend a helping hand. Call/email/text anytime. We are here for you.
